The Royal Academy Schools East Anglia Group was formed in 2011 as part of an initiative to forge connections between graduates of different generations and create opportunities to network and exhibit together.

All the former students live and work in East Anglia, from the coastal areas to Cambridge and Essex, exhibiting across the region.

The two ‘Legacy’ shows at Halesworth Gallery & The Minories (Colchester) in 2018 & 2019 celebrated 250 years of the Royal Academy and Royal Academy Schools and resulted in an illustrated book of student memories. The group has also shown at Anteros Arts Foundation, Norwich (Print Show); Peter Pears Gallery, Aldeburgh: RE+New, Woodbridge: The Old Fire Engine House, Ely; Mandells Gallery, Norwich; and Wingfield Barns, Eye.
